The Collision

Our clients were traveling southbound when a commercial tractor-trailer moved into their lane and struck the driver’s side of their vehicle. The impact sent their vehicle spinning across the highway and into the center concrete median. Responding law enforcement cited the truck driver for failing to maintain his lane and found no evidence that another vehicle caused the collision.  

During discovery, dashcam footage from the truck provided additional insight into the moments leading up to the wreck. The video supported our client’s position where the commercial truck entered their lane before the collision occurred.

The driver sustained significant injuries involving her head, neck, back, shoulders, and legs. After extensive treatment, she ultimately underwent a two-level cervical disc replacement surgery followed by rehabilitation and physical therapy.  

The passenger also suffered injuries to his neck, back, and head, requiring extensive treatment that included therapy, diagnostic testing, and multiple injections.  

Together, the collision resulted in significant medical treatment, ongoing limitations, and substantial damages.

While liability was ultimately admitted, the defense continued to dispute the extent of the injuries.
