When Martha Puebla walked into Witherite Law Group for the first time in December 2012, the firm was just four attorneys strong with one office. She started as a Litigation Medical Record Clerk, not knowing that more than a decade later, she’d become a vital leader within the Litigation Department.

Over the years, Martha has worn many hats—MedWreck Manager, HR Recruiter, Scheduling Paralegal—and now, she’s proudly stepped into her newest role as Lead Scheduling Paralegal. Each role brought new challenges, new lessons, and new opportunities to grow. But no matter the title, one thing remained constant: Martha’s commitment to her teamand to the clients they serve.

 A Team Player at Heart
“I’ve always loved working in a team environment,” she says. “The Litigation Scheduling team is very much that. I get to collaborate with a great group of people, and we get to bounce ideas off each other with the same goal in mind”
Proudest Accomplishment
Martha recalls her time helping build the MedWrecks Department as a defining chapter in her journey. “That department still holds a special place in my heart. I loved the deadlines and the training—it all pushed me to grow.”
Why WLG Stands Out

Now in a lead role, Martha sees her purpose clearly: “My goal is to be a support system—to help others succeed and assist our managers as we shape this role together.”

For Martha, Witherite Law Group isn’t just a workplace. It’s a mission she believes in.

“I’m proud to work somewhere wheredoing right by the client is the standard. Everyone here cares about the workwe do—and Amy sets the tone. She truly cares about her people.”

One moment especially confirmed that for Martha. Early in her career, she joined Amy Witherite at a mediationfor a Spanish-speaking client. When the defense challenged the client’streatment history and questioned why surgery had been declined, Amy stood firm:

“Normal folks living in the realworld can’t afford to take time off from work, much less pay for expensivemedical treatment—even with insurance. But it sounds to me like you have allday to figure out how you’re going to come to a million, because I’m notleaving without a million-dollar offer.” Martha remembers getting ready to translate—but the client stopped her. “No,no, no—you don’t have to. I understood what she said.” They left that mediationwith a $1 million settlement. That day, Martha didn’t just witness a win—she witnessed the heart and backbone of the firm she’s proud to represent.

Congratulations, Martha. Your journey is a testament to what’s possible with hard work, heart, and a team that believes in you. We’re lucky to have you.
