KISS 104.1 and Witherite Law Group helped Atlanta-area families prepare for the new school year during the third annual Shoesday Giveaway.

The back-to-school event provided 200 families with $150 gift cards to purchase shoes from Sole Play. Families began lining up before dawn, and attendees also received complimentary meals courtesy of Witherite Law Group.

The event was organized with KISS 104.1 and community partners to address an important back-to-school need that extends beyond traditional classroom supplies.

Amy Witherite, founder of Witherite Law Group and an event sponsor, emphasized how a new pair of shoes can help students begin the school year with greater confidence.

“We started this event with an understanding that the need for school supplies goes well beyond pencils, pens and paper. One of the most important things we can equip students with is a boost in confidence, and a decent pair of shoes can do wonders for a child’s self-esteem,” said Amy Witherite, owner of 1-800-TruckWreck and founder of Witherite Law Group. “Together with our partners, we’re working to offset the cost of what could be one of the most expensive items on the supply list, while helping students start the school year on the right foot.”

The annual Shoesday Giveaway reflects the continued commitment of Witherite Law Group and its community partners to supporting Atlanta families and helping students start the school year prepared.
