Witherite Law Group Awards $50,000 in Scholarships to Leo High School Seniors

Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck awarded $50,000 in renewable scholarships to graduating seniors at Leo High School during the school’s 2026 National Decision Day celebration in Chicago.

Twenty seniors received $2,500 scholarships to support their continued education. The awards were part of a broader celebration recognizing the academic achievement, persistence and future plans of Leo High School’s graduating class.

The 33 members of the Class of 2026 collectively earned more than $5 million in scholarships. Several students received full-ride opportunities, while others earned multiple college acceptances and substantial financial-aid packages.

The Witherite Law Group scholarships are renewable, allowing qualifying recipients to receive continued financial support beyond the first year of their education. Renewable awards can help students manage tuition and other education-related costs as they progress toward completing their degree or training program.

National Decision Day gives graduating students an opportunity to announce their college plans and recognize the work required to reach that milestone. The celebration at Leo High School highlighted not only the financial awards earned by the class but also the school’s culture of academic discipline, mentorship and community support.

FOX 32 Chicago reported that Leo High School had maintained a 100% graduation rate over the previous decade, with more than 96% of its graduates continuing to college. School leaders credited the students’ accomplishments to consistent preparation, research and participation in scholarship-writing opportunities.

Witherite Law Group’s scholarship awards helped build on the financial support earned by the Class of 2026. By providing renewable assistance to 20 students, the firm helped recipients reduce education-related financial barriers as they prepared for their next academic steps.

The investment reflects Witherite Law Group’s continued commitment to expanding educational opportunities and supporting students in the communities the firm serves.
