John Vlahakis brings decades of legal experience, a deep sense of purpose, and a client-first approach to every case he handles. As a second-generation American, his work ethic and commitment to service are rooted in his family’s history of perseverance and sacrifice. John’s grandparents immigrated to the United States from Greece in the early 1900s with little formal education but a powerful determination to create a better future. That legacy of hard work and the value placed on education shaped his family for generations. His father, who learned English while working in his own father’s diner in Camden, New Jersey, went on to earn a scholarship to Cornell University, setting an example of dedication and achievement that continues to inspire John’s career.
John’s passion for the legal profession began early. At just four years old, while playing with neighborhood friends, he declared his goal to become a lawyer, a goal he never wavered from. He pursued that dream with focus and determination, ultimately entering the legal profession in 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. Today, John is licensed to practice in Georgia and Alabama and is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Alabama State Bar, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.
Throughout his career, John Vlahakis has represented clients in a broad range of legal matters, guiding them through complex and often difficult circumstances. His greatest professional satisfaction comes from helping people solve problems, regain stability, and move forward with confidence during challenging times. Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as his dog. In his free time, he can often be found on the tennis court or golf course.
