Witherite Law Group Supports Chicago Students With $50,000 in Career Scholarships

Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck partnered with the North Lawndale Employment Network to support career-driven Chicago students pursuing professional certifications.

Through the partnership, Witherite Law Group provided $50,000 to fund scholarships for graduating students participating in NLEN’s Craft Your Path program. The workforce-development initiative helps participants pursue training and certifications across fields ranging from accounting to welding.

The scholarship recipients were selected with support from four Chicago Public Schools. Funding was applied to the specific certification program selected by each student, helping reduce the financial barriers associated with continued education and career preparation.

Amy Witherite, founder of Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck, emphasized the importance of providing students with practical opportunities to begin their careers.

“These scholarships will directly impact crucial education necessary for students to embark on their future careers,” Witherite said.

The initiative expanded scholarship support that Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck had already provided in Dallas–Fort Worth and Atlanta into the Chicago community.

The North Lawndale Employment Network works to increase the earning potential of North Lawndale residents through employment programs, career pathways, and other initiatives designed to promote economic advancement.
