‍Witherite Law Group Supports 1,000-Turkey Giveaway for Chicago Families

Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck joined local media and community partners to help Chicago families prepare for Thanksgiving through the annual 1K Turkey Giveaway.

The drive-through event distributed 1,000 free turkeys at Wintrust Intentional Sports on Chicago’s West Side. Families could receive a turkey without leaving their vehicles, making the distribution more convenient and accessible. The event was presented in partnership with V103 and 107.5 WGCI.

During an interview with CBS Chicago, Amy Witherite discussed the increased need for food assistance and the importance of supporting families during the holiday season. Amy also explained that Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck aim to be more than legal service providers by investing in the communities where the organizations serve clients.

“We want to be more than just lawyers. We want to feed and support the communities where our clients come from,” Witherite said.

The turkey distribution was part of a broader season of community support. During the CBS Chicago interview, Amy discussed additional assistance for Chicago-area food pantries and a separate winter-coat giveaway organized with St. Sabina Church.

Amy also explained that community engagement continues throughout the year, with hundreds of events and partnerships supporting families in the markets served by Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck.

The 1K Turkey Giveaway reflects the organizations’ commitment to working with trusted local partners to provide practical assistance during a time of increased household expenses and food needs.
